Yesterday I went to the x to find that my heater blower wasn’t working. No previous faults or hiccups and working perfect when I parked the previous night. Checked fuses and diagnostics tell me it’s getting voltage and shows percentage when the button is pressed up or down. I wasn’t aware that the h...

Air suspension issue. Help please.
The pipe on either side which connects between the bag and accumulator may not be seated properly. I know you checked for leaks but if it can stay up for a week you may have checked during the time it’s behaving itself.

I would expect to get all HD stuff, it is after all the bushes that are HD and they should all be as advertised. After all you bought hd so you don’t have to visit that area for a long time.

2004 X5 With A Constant Vibration
Years ago I had a vibration including at idle, took the auxiliary belts off and no change, noticed what looked like oil on one of the engine mounts so changed them. Cured, I would mention that the one with oil was fine still stiff to move the the other one which looked fine was completely shot. I ch...

Presumably the easiest way to check is with a temperature gun after a drive with minimal use of the brakes?

As above and seems to be coming from the front right. Thinking driveshaft or wheel bearing. Just been up to Gatwick this morning, can’t hear it at speed but with less wind and engine noise it’s there and if I lift of the throttle the noise goes away returns immediately the throttle is applied no mat...

LPG
I know there are a few on here that have lpg fitted, anyone come across the problem of not being able to fill up fully. 85 ltr tank has taken 66/67 ltrs for years from empty. Now it will only take between 45 and 50 ltrs. Tried different garages but same problem.

E53 Rear Camber issues
I completely agree about the toe, way more important than camber hence to make sure toe is in the 0.05 area. I’m on 23k atm on 315s with plenty of life left. I put that down to getting the toe sorted

BMW X5 E53 SELF LEVELING SENSOR INACTIVE
I assume the garage used decent diagnostics and if the light is on they should have got a code. If the level sensors are set up differently that should produce a code. Try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes again which should clear all fault codes. If the light comes back there should be a new...

If you’re going to throw your wallet at i...

ECU how much to fix.. or something else wrong.
I would be getting a second opinion sounds like there probably wasn’t anything wrong with the first starter motor, working from time to time was probably just the start of fault that is elsewhere. I’d be amazed if it’s the ECU. Unplug it and see if there’s any corrosion on the pins. If it doesn’t st...

416819C7-7DA2-4EEB-9AE4-94B7303F6298.jpeg I’ve changed the fuel pump and filter for Mehle items. Fuel pressure is restored to normal and I opened the old filter to see what 170k internals look like. I was curious as when I emptied the old one what drained out was the colour of coke. Start is instan...
