Locked out of the car :(

Cheers. AA man was back out this morning. Battery seems ok but something had drained it to the point where jumping it from my wife’s golf didn’t work. AA van jumping it worked fine. With the FSR unplugged it was drawing around 0.4 amps after a few minutes. So something is still drawing power but not...

Locked out of the car :(

Haha cheers - luckily the one in it has a 5 year warranty so should be ok.

I need to check for drain. I’ve seen the FSR being a culprit and given the fan doesn’t work it’s the first place to start.

Any other key areas? I’ve done a search but couldn’t see much apart from the FSR and car phone?

Locked out of the car :(

AA came out and connected a jumper pack which got the electrics working to unlock the car. They said the battery is dead - had 3-4 volts. It’s a an 18 month old Bosch so will try to get it swapped.

Going to check for battery drain at the weekend. Add that to the blower fan not working!

Locked out of the car :(

Noticed a battery drain recently. Had the car locked since Saturday, opened it this morning and all fine. When to open it this evening and nothing - absolutely dead. And of course the key doesn’t work in the barrel. So took the kidneys out and opened the bonnet. Connected some jumpers from another c...

Re: Long Time since I posted........my 4.8is now available

Thanks Condor- arrived all well. Work starting soon after many sharp intakes of breath. The main worry is the extend of the blown head gasket (huge variation on pressure tests) and whether the cylinders, block or head were damaged. Diagnosis will cost a small fortune but once it’s done we’ll know wh...

Re: Poor road package
Well done on the 2 year auc warranty.! did you have to barter like crazy to get this or was it in with car ?? I've tried and never managed it  >:(
It costs the dealer about £600 or something like that. They left the internal paperwork in mine when I bough...

E70 E71 air vent

Hi all, just found this rear passenger air vent which I bought for my 40d but never fitted. It's brand new and about £40 from the dealers I think.

Fits any e70 or 71 X5/X6. Solves the problem of broken sliders!

£20 + £2.50 p/p

Re: X50 E70 quilted boot liner

More than welcome to try it - I'm near Whitchurch.

No, didn't get it from them although that one doesn't look like quite as good a fit. Mine was from premier products which I've just seen has been reduced to £119! Arse. I'll adjust the price

Would you know if it would fit an E53?

It fits my e39 boot more or less so it'll fit any, but the dimensions are shaped to the e70. If the boot dimensions similar I'm sure it'd be fine...

X50 E70 quilted boot liner

Hi all, bought this for my 40d which I only had for 3 weeks.. used probably twice. It's fitted by velcro around the sides and has ties around the headrests which are invisible. Waterproof and a very good fit and quality. Mine has the 60/40 split (not pictured) which is great for protecting the seat ...

Re: X40d SE vibration and noises

Unsure. Both of my last AUC cars (e90 M3 then the X5) have turned out to be let downs which has put me off a bit.

Sticking to my trusty e30 for a while.
