Sounds like the piezo is on its way out...happended on my X6, kept doing the same as yours is...new injector required Im afraid.

Had exactly the same happen on my 640d, mechanic has said the crankshaft is shot, 81k on the clock with full service.....to replace the engine with a reman would be 6k, as it was a 2012 I did the figures and sold it for £4200 to another mechanic who's going to rebuild the engine in his spare time, t...

Thats interesting, as it says in my handbook (2012) you need comfort access and if you do have it you can set the mirrors to fold in the idrive.....must have changed on later models???

Only available if you have comfort access fitted...otherwise needs programming as X5sport has mentioned.

So naffed off am I that I booked only last night to fly to Greece in February, much earlier than normal, its a one way ticket too. I wouldn't be surprised if during 2023 I leave the UK permanently and sell a very nice X6 as a result. Life everywhere has compromises, Greece is certainly no exception...

In my case I suspect the pins where too tight in the OE grommets and didnt seat properly. The back of the rep one I bought is very slightly concave.
