Re: No sound at all from pro hifi
Does your hifi continue to work for all other sources? I'd assume the link to Spotify dropped (happens).

Re: G05
That's really helpful! Took me 2 scrolls to realise what you had done, at first I just thought it was lots of pictures of the new car
Wouldn't say no though.

Re: G05
It looks nice - not all that different in terms of exterior looks - at least to me, though perhaps it would be more apparent when seeing them side by side.
Really don't want that glass gearknob though!

Re: Swap M50d for 650i Convertible?
I'd go for the convertible, partly cos the sun is shining and partly cos there's a new x5 coming out soon. Also I bet the new 8 series convertible won't be available until quite some time after the hard top comes out. Ideally you'd want to sell it next summer...

Re: Map north facing
Nobody? Looking again, there is a north facing option, but the map goes from side to side, rather than in the direction of travel.
I'm not following - what do you mean by "the map goes from side to side"? If the option youve selected is north facing an...

Re: Tracker advice
There are 2 reasons to get a Tracker: 1. To save money 2. To stand an improved chance of getting your car back if it is stolen (it won't deter thieves cos they wont know you have it) On the money saving aspect, the maths is as follows: Keeping the car for 3 years, so tracker costs are £397 plus 168 ...

I've left them alone. Some people have fitted the X5M ones I believe. Personal choice.

Re: X5 40d fuel consumption
The brochure quotes exactly the same mpg for the X5 40d and 30d at 47.1 mpg for the "combined" cycle. Data for the F10 is showing as 47 - 49 mpg, though I found this harder to find on the internet. Given that your miles are mostly motorway the real difference in economy is likely to depen...

Re: Fuel consumption M50D
I'm usually rubbish at noting what mpg I'm getting, but I recently went on a 1000 mile trip (London to Glasgow and back with some pootling about locally while up there). Fully laden but no roofbox or trailer. Over the whole period I got 30.3 mpg. The motorway up and down were long journeys due to vo...

Re: Best insurance company
Presume you've tried the usual comparison sites? Go Compare and Compare the Market?
In addition try Direct Line and Aviva who don't appear on the comparison sites.
I have had cheap quotes from Admiral / Elephant / Diamond in the past (they are owned by the same company).
Best of luck.

Re: Different nav systems?
Think you are talking about the E70 rather than the F15, so maybe better answers in the E70 forum? Anyway - approximately 4 buttons.... The idrive was updated with the "fast access" buttons when the E70 got its mid life facelift. Models are often differentiated by referring to them as &quo...

Re: X5 driving assistant plus - what's included?
I have DA+ and lane keeping assistance. Like another poster on here I struggle to see the advantage of lane keeping assistance that requires you to have your hand on the wheel. Also it only operates on motorways (where it can "see" the lanes) and only at speeds up to 35 mph (on my car anyw...
