I did the rear on mine 2 years ago. I bought a kit off eBay circa £150 if memory serves and a bush press kit. It took me about 8hrs I recon. It's not too difficult after the rear bags are deflated. The dealer has to repair it by law. Don't let them fob you off if you are not happy. Within 30 days you can reject the vehicle and ask for a full refund. Well we have a Range Rover sport supercharged which is ok. Luckily it runs on lpg or the fuel consumption is too bad.
What is an E53 4.8 like on fuel - mine does about 19mpg which I can live with.

I think I may change the X5 4.4 after 3 years... Probably around march 2019. I've had to re register.. No matter what I did I couldn't log in. I even emailed admin but got no response. Something could have gone wrong with my car in that time and I would have been stuck without the advice on here...
