Re: BMW Emergency - amazing service today

Had to use them once myself when my then new X5 was about three weeks old and I got a Check Control message that would not clear, telling me I had no oil pressure even though the oil level was fine. The Dealer told me to call them out. Took less than 40mins before this real nice guy turned up in a 5...

Re: Buttons infront of gear shifter

Left to right on 2005 E53

| Pass Seat Heat | Hill Descent Control | DSC | Tailgate | PDC | Tyre Press | BLANK | Drvr Seat Heat |

The blank one seems to be common and there's nothing showing in my manual as an option filling it, nor in the US version.

Re: Biodiesel

Officially BMW support the use of B5 (5%) biodiesel even if they don't recommend the use of biodiesel at all - or 'Biopetrol' which uses Ethanol in the mix - but given that for diesel in the UK you have no choice, and we've had biodiesel for a few years without any effects so far there should not be...

Re: BMW drivers are the angriest on UK roads!!!

Of course we have to be angry because of all the others intruding on our peace and quiet by being on OUR Roads..........

Re: Got my 20

I'll have to make sure I don't park near you with my E71 then! Those wheels actually look better than the E53 OEM options. Very nice.

Re: Giving way

Of course we could take the approach that as BMW Owners we do actually own the road and these other peasants shouldn't be there anyway. :poke: :poke: :fuelfire:

They're only jealous, and have to show it by not letting us onto the roads that ARE rightfully ours anyway. :D

Welcome to the Forum. Having once been a Fleet Manager with a number of Discos I know what you mean about the reliability of RRs. The Disco wasn't a lot better. The BMW is so much better to drive.

Oooohh yes please :D Huh hermmmm, I mean that would be most kind of you. Your generosity in helping a fellow member is above and beyond (Ed-now don't over do it!) As long as its not the US one? I've been trying to get info on the Combox and other options (8TL & 8TN) that started to be fitted fro...

Re: I'm here too

It could be on any of four boats - BMW won't tell me or the Dealer when it left the US, only that it has left the factory. Checking the shipping schedules (sad I know, but), the earliest for Bremerhaven is 27th Oct leading to the earliest into Soton is the 1st Nov, after which it's down to BMW GB an...
