Many thanks for the parts no list,but cannot see anything like that in any of the parts showing,so this has me perplexed,what is it that dropped down and i am alsomost certain it has something to do with the mechanism but nothing appears to be broken off.So at the moment i am bloody stuck till i fin...

If the windows are a easy change over,would the existing motors be able too handle additional weight of moving the windows up and down ?? This problem has started up again albeit not all the time,seems to be a pattern that it does it more so in warm weather like we have had this last week or so.Initially thought it was interference from say factories or alarms but its become bloody annoying,it can trigger the central system just once ...

I would think it would be classed as a category D write off,it may well be possible that you could have the opportunity too buy it back after payout at a reduced rate,its could well be worth asking.Of course they will have the final say. Hope this is not seen as hijacking the thread,but its side step related on a E53 X5,mine is a Le-Mans version on a 56 plate,i am not removing mine as i personally like them but the problem that i have is these are factory fitted step made of alloy i think and have these i also think rubber anti-slip...
