Re: Beast 2.0 Modding

Superb  8) Cheers buddy. Very pleased with how it’s all turned out. However my OCD is still kicking in so might be ordering all new door seals (the ones round the actual door aperture this time) too soon and some new rear lights as although Ryan tried to machine them the best he could the...

E53 Car Mats

As part of the extensive overhaul of the X5 I bought a new set of genuine mats. These that I’m selling are actually a nice fit and quite thick so fairly good quality but I’m just a little bit ocd. Drivers one obviously has some wear but still not bad condition. Included the boot one to match too. ht...

Re: Beast 2.0 Modding

What can I say. Big day as finally collected Beast2.0 from its final time away. Big thanks to RyanDetails for getting it looking spot on. Full correction, PPF and ceramic coat. I think my wife is more than a little happy with the final result. Also just fitted the new mats + door seals from the deal...

Re: CTec connection

Personally under bonnet is better as can just put my C-Tek and extension under there and just have the extension wire trailing into the garage.

Re: Brake bother..

The brakes do not click anymore but the last two times I have stopped then reversed to my right in the car park space there has been an almighty clunk from under the front n/s half way around the turn.. It feels like something is wound up then released if you see what I mean. Something else to look...

I just checked with the Ebay supplier and they say this part won't fit my car - even though the part number matches up. Confusing!
But if the part numbers match then not sure why they'd say they aren't compatible :headbang:

Re: Brake bother..

Tbf anything is possible. You just need some custom adapters for the calipers most likely.

Re: Brake bother..

I've never had to shim any pads in any application so it is strange. I currently use Brembo all round on the X5 and Ferodo on the 3er and Textar on the GTI (but will most likely change them at some point).

Re: Electrical problem

Does anyone know what fuse does the ambient lighting, it’s not switching off. Noticed red glow from car, went and looked and the ambient lights are still on, the car was locked about an hour ago! Cheers Unsure on the fuse but definitely might be the issue with draining the battery. As mentioned the...

Re: Beast 2.0 Modding

So dropped it off after the interior for a full detail and a little PPF. This is the last big item to be done and can sit back and enjoy it.

Thanks to Ryan for sorting this part:

Re: Beast 2.0 Modding

Brave colour choice but sharp for sure. Never wear denim tho! The car must owe you more than its worth, but what fun to own something basically unique. 8) 8) Yeah agree it is brave but I’ve gone down the route of sod it, enjoy it, redo it .... if it needs it in a few years time. But I’ll keep on to...
