I don't use the car every day so it's never bothered me that much, but yesterday I drove it from cold for about 20 miles, ( different conditions ), and the gearbox behaved itself, then, after 20 miles it started lurching when coming to a stop, not all the time though. In my opinion not black, makes cars look a bit Chavy, ( you know what I mean ).
Maybe a slightly darker silver or go for it with a shadow chrome finish, you won't really know until they're on the car, then it's too late I suppose.

Until you take the job to show them you won't know.
In all fairness they're not going to price it until they've seen it, and you can also assess whether you want them to do the job for you at the same time.

As already said really, a decent engineering company will sort them out for you, usually find them tucked away on the industrial estates.
