Re: 4.6 radiator

Not been using the beast lately so have put this job off, but after using it the other day it's getting worse, so time for a new rad.
Is it best to just get a service exchange unit from a local firm or buy a specific brand that is known to be ok.

Which model were these purchased for?
You also don't state a price.

4.6 engine oil

It's a bloody minefield nowadays when buying oil, I need a litre to keep for topping up now and again, I was using some that came with the car, just want to check it's the right oil before buying any more.
The oil that came with the car was Exol optima c3 LS 5W-30.
The car has done 114K miles.

I totally agree, you can pay a lot more than that at some gearbox places, and you never know what you're getting.

4.6 radiator

I've had a niggly little water leak for a while now, but seeing as the car doesn't get used much I've lived with it. Seeing as winter won't be long coming I thought I'd investigate a bit more, turns out it's coming from the top edge of the radiator, so it looks lie a new one is needed. Is this much ...

Re: Alarm?

So if you walk away and you haven’t shut the door properly it won’t let you know?

Alarm?

Out of interest, should the alarm sound if you lock via key fob but leave a door or bonnet open.

Re: rear wiper sluggish

Motors either work or don't, I would think it's something like a partially seized drive shaft from the motor to the actual wiper arm itself.
Strip down as much as you can and give it a good clean, lubricate and re-assemble.
Might be just as bad, but at least it's cost you jack shit to try.

Re: Meets, anything happen anymore, anywhere.

I suppose the easiest way would be to meet up at the national festival at Gaydon in August, at least there would be plenty to look at as well as hopefully meet a few fellow owners.

Sat Nav update

I know this subject can cause toys to be thrown out of prams on here, but I would dearly love to bring my sat nav up to date as much as poss. Can I purchase one of the newer versions that are advertised on evil bay, ( if so which one would work ), or is there a more hush hush route :fuelfire: I have...

Re: Full Engine Power No Longer Available

I've never heard so much bullshit, basically they are paid to know what they are doing, hence the hourly rate.
Refuse point blank for pay for anything that doesn't fix the problem, if they argue then just speak to the dealer principle.
Stand your ground, don't let them take the piss.

If tyres are close to the limit then change these first, that way you'll have nicely balanced new rubber.
