Re: Stoplock Pro Elite lock

Here's a picture of my steering wheel. It looks like it will fit as my wheel is very similar to yours.

Re: Stoplock Pro Elite lock

Thanks for that. There have been a spate of car thefts near where I live and my car is parked in front of my house so I want to add a bit more security to it. I have CCTV covering where it is parked but that won't stop someone stealing it.

Stoplock Pro Elite lock

Does anyone use one of these on an X5/X6 F15/F16 with the M sport steering wheel?
There is conflicting info on places that sell this lock, most say it will fit BMW's with M sport steering wheels but some say it will not.
Hopefully someone on here uses one and can clarify the situation.

Re: How long for engine to warm up?

My F16 takes about 10 mins/miles or so to get the temp up to the mid pointon the gauge at this time of year.

I'm also in the North East :)

Re: 66Plate M50D pics and a few queries

I got 35mpg on a long journey driving mine carefully, average about 31mpg on everyday runs and get 24mpg towing a 2000kg van :D (65 plate X6 M50d)

Re: Tyre pressures when towing

I leave the tyre pressures set for part load and don't change them for towing or solo. My van is 2000kg and I run a nose weight of about 140kg. Never had any problems. It's a lot of chew to inflate and deflate the tyres when towing or solo. We are 2 adults and a 25kg dog most of the time. :)

Re: Noisy front wheel bearing

I had both my front wheel bearings changed on my E53 by an indy. They were quite difficult to do and they broke their puller attempting to do them. They had to go to a local HGV repair garage to use their heavy duty puller.
Pleased I didn't try to do them myself :)

Cheers, probably a good idea rather than get caught out :)

Re: Space saver tyres, correctness.

Thanks everyone, I will just keep the space saver now. I tend to only carry it when I go to France.

Re: Space saver tyres, correctness.

How do you know which space saver will fit an X6? I have a 2016 F16 X6 50d and have a space saver from my previous X5 which is a 155/90/18. Does anyone know if this would be suitable as a spare?

Thanks.
