Not an ‘X’ but is an Xdrive

How are they going to do the planned blocking of too many EV cars charging at the same time?

I have econ 7, so come 2300 it would come on together with the rest of the UK bringing the network down

Not an ‘X’ but is an Xdrive

IanP wrote: Sat Apr 02, 2022 6:56 pm Apart from brakes and suspension, what really needs servicing in an EV?
Surely it should be at least 50% cheaper as the oily bits are much reduced?
I think with Tesla servicing is optional so unwound expect a massive reduction between 50-75% really

Not an ‘X’ but is an Xdrive

I still haven’t got a delivery date for the ID3, which is ashame as it is a perfect vehicle to buy through my company with ownership being about £25k less over 3 years over private buying. The charge point I am still in the process of installing, new fusebox in the garage with a dedicated cable to t...

At 12k miles, do I even need to do the plugs or should I opt out of that? I never did the plugs on the Abarth as that had 5k on it when they wanted to change them.

Thanks Richard, it wasn’t posting for some reason. Novice user

I will have to lean harder on the dealer to get more discount I think, full price doesn’t sit right :)

Service costs

The X5M needs a major service, 4 years old (only 12k miles but anyway). I called a couple of dealers (Sytner and Vines) and with the usual BMW membership discount they quote the exact £863.44. Am I assuming there is a fixed price thing going on here? Previously the service costs between different gr...

I’m sure it’s one of those ‘meant to be’ moments and something better is just over the horizon…. :D If anyone knows the lottery numbers…….. :P :P Will last weeks do? :D On my new order I have heard nothing (VW - Jeep replacement), so I am taking it as that all is going to be there. Or I am just ass...

X5M missed running in service should I run a mile.

They are great cars, loving mine. Strange about the servicing though as it hasn’t been very expensive for me so far. Although I have only done 11k in mine …

Almost 3 years old now

Inresting amount though, seems fairly steep. I pay £900 a year for the Porsche which is not that much more (also zero excess).

6 years till retirement - didn't realise you were 70?

There is always the Black Friday deals as well. I bought my Car Play (non annual, just one off price) with that, and my son extended his traffic info and map updates as well. Is half price then.

Almost 3 years old now

It was indeed lovely yes. Hope to get back over to the continent next month as I haven't been back since December. I didn't renew the connected drive services though as I always use Waze on carplay now so don't think I am missing anything with that. Did renew the Porsche for 3 years though, even tho...

Re: Almost 3 years old now

Decided not to renew the warranty. The car has just clocked 10k on it in the 3 years and I have done next to no mileage in the last year. Also, always garaged and not used for any short runs. On the pre-warranty expiry service, the comment was that the car looked as new underneath (ok, I do wash the...
