Re: WANTED - E53 Self Leveling Suspension Module - Help! :)

Hi Martin,

Thank you for the offer typically they ordered me a new module at £100 on last Friday (a day before your post) and can't refund electrical items apparently! Just my luck!

Cheers

Re: WANTED - E53 Self Leveling Suspension Module - Help! :)

I still think it could be a sensor thats giving the wrong reading but the "Specialists" seem to think its not. I phoned my local stealer to see how much a Electronic height module and I was quite surprised as it only worked out £101 for new module I was expecting £££'s. I might just change...

Re: WANTED - E53 Self Leveling Suspension Module - Help! :)

Cheers Stevo I thought exactly the same thing! When I mentioned it to the Indy BMW garage who have it at the moment they claimed the sensors are fine and are reading correctly. Apparently one of the front sensor was seized and they manage to get it moving again. I didn't think the front sensors were...

WANTED - E53 Self Leveling Suspension Module - Help! :)

I'm having problems with mine at the moment and had the bags & pump replaced but car is still rising itself up completely. The garage can't find any error codes and they think there maybe corrosion on the module as it sits down below in the battery tray. They are stripping the car down at the mo...

Re: Angel Eye's

So I managed to finish these off Monday night. All I can say wow they're bloody bright angel eyes!! Only annoying thing is I went for a quick drive and they both steamed up in exactly the same place. It was 7.5c out and all the cars had condensation on them around me so maybe it could be a one off? ...

Re: Angel Eye's

No unfortunately not :-( I got half way through and then it started raining! So the front is covered over with tar-pooling now. I am going to hopefully finish it after work tomorrow so will get some pictures up once it's finished :-)

Re: Angel Eye's

Hi Mate, I wondered the same thing so I asked the seller and he said there should be a switch on the back like the OEM headlights which switches it over to the opposite beam pattern. I haven't actually looked yet I was too busy trying to get them powered up lol I will take a look when I get home fro...

Re: Angel Eye's

Not sure how much you want to spend but I bought these headlights for my 4.6is haven't fitted them yet though. Going to try this weekend if I get a chance... If I do I will get some pictures up of them on the car. I've connected them to my jump pack and they are bloody bright! http://i1364.photobuck...

Re: Disconnecting air suspension pump

Oh really! I wish I had to time to fix it now but I need the car back on road so I've just bought a pump off eBay from a 2007 750i with 36k miles for £140 which I didn't was too bad especially as its low milage so hopefully wouldn't have had much use. I will keep my old pump anyway as a spare and wi...

Re: Disconnecting air suspension pump

So I changed the piston ring this evening. Wasn't even that hard to be honest. The bore wasn't scored at all and My O ring was the old shaped style so the one in my kit was useless but the existing one looked fine so I just took the chance and left it. Put it all back together and tested it............

Re: Disconnecting air suspension pump

Thanks for the info Amac! Typical I wish I knew that before buying this kit lol: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281178475673?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 My car is a 2002 so that means the O ring I bought isn't going to fit..... Is it worth me buying the old generation O ring th...

Re: Disconnecting air suspension pump

Yeah I get the jist :)

I did laugh when they said its £698+vat + hours fitting theres no way in hell I would pay that as you say they are on eBay for half that!

I just hope my £20 piston fix works then I will be a very happy man :)
