ZF service centre

I emailed the factory in Germany asking for a nearby centre, they sent me a link to follow.

From my postcode, the nearest centre is apparently in France :D

Is there a UK base that anyone can share with me?

Ignorance is bliss, supposedly. Swinton are only brokers, which I didn't know so if you buy via them i dont know who I'd be insured with. Add the wheels uncertainty and ill have to keep looking or attempt to haggle with the NFU on Monday .

Direct Line declined to quote 🤔

My thoughts exactly. But the Meerkat website doesn't offer input for specific criteria. Is a 20" OE wheel a modification over the 19" if both are original to that model of car? If the car.is purchased pre-owned would the new owner know of the change, i suspect not. Aftermarket wheels i cou...

Trying to get clarity from insurace companies can be tedious
Car built with 19" wheels.
Changed to 20" OE option wheels
Added 19 OE wheels for winter tyres

They dont know what to tell me, :(

Insurance is beyond frustrating. Swinton advise that as i have changed wheels from OE 19 to 20, albeit they are X6 OE wheels, its a modification. This is one reason why I've stayed wth the NFU for so long. Their approach to this sort of thing is sensible. It brings into question, what the deal is wi...

I hope the tank isnt located where an E71s is. Had the osf wheel off, wing liner and trim and dropped the sill cover to access it. Got a bill in the £000s and a present of blue/white jelly like stuff. Galling when its only had BMW fluid in my years of ownership :x

Just got my renewal offer for next month. £1226, if i stay with the NFU, who I've been with for ever. This will promp an alternative seach. Something i normally don't bother to do. Ridiculous money given the tiny mileage the car is used for. Not surprised but disappointed. Less than half the price ...

I'm grateful for that, thank you. Thats how i remembered it pretty much, but stage one squeezing and pulling the decor trim simply doesnt work on my car. In recalling i needed the equivalent of the "special tool, i have ordered some plastic spatulas designed for filler which should be thin enou...
