Rear end never was great after they straightened it to get 7 seats in. the tail lights are a desaster. Done away with their so called 'signature' L-lights?? What's...

Re: Battery kill switch

huh? meaning your kill switch doesn't exactly 'kill' everything? - how else do the front terminals have connectivity with the battery?

Re: Battery kill switch

[quote="jeegnesh"] Kill switch installed and working, not much use as the battery is too low, will wait for ECP Easter discount before I pickup the battery. So the wires being so thick did present problems, the cable is a little thicker then the OEM lead, was tough getting 2 of them throw ...

Re: Battery kill switch

[quote="jeegnesh"] Damn smoke alarm went mental at crazy AM in the morning, so had lots of thinking time. If extending the ctek after the block may be an issue, why not just extend the wire before the ctek on the normal power cord as thats guaranteed to work and I only need cable and conne...

Re: Battery kill switch

[quote="jeegnesh"] So let me get this straight your saying cut the plug on the ctek side and extend that wire?  Only downside I see is that I would no longer be able to use the ctek on another car without taking out the wiring, unless I get another plug and the new connection I make should...

Re: Battery kill switch

[quote="X5Sport"] The kill switch would need to support at least 220A to give a margin of safety with the starter. What about a good quality caravan solar cell charger?  I do mean a decent one though. Glad to see you are still around, though this might bring Sanj out of retirement too  :P ...

Re: Battery kill switch

it says rated amperage 100A. the knowledgeable man has said 220A in the thread, to be on teh safe side with the starter, so I'd say no unfortunately :'( solar panel is a good idea, its only a trickle charge u need just like the CTEK (I'd rather go through the cigarette lighter and leave the OBD port...
