E83 X3 3.0d 2006 155,000mls total failure

Price of reconnig these injectors is very high and very few places have the equipment needed to do it id look a cheap replacement of a working engine if possible
I scrapped my 330d a few months back it went with 6 good injectors

E83 X3 3.0d 2006 155,000mls total failure

No worries
One that had worst leak off is probably the one, with common rail it's one out all out, won't start if rail pressure min spec not met.
It's important it's spinning over fast to as more chance of reaching that pressure.
All points to injector /injectors so far

If you can get some to run a smooth running test with software that would tell you a bad injector but a code read would hopefully narrow it down .Rough idle is often an injector symptom .

Halogen to bi xenon upgrade

I had 2 bi xenon headlights bought for an e46 and one wouldn't work and it was a faulty igniter, I took the ballast off usually a silver box on the underneath and put it on the good light to prove the ballast was good. The igniter is usually inside the light so lens needs removing to get to it. If n...

Drivetrain noise

Front bearings often grown into the housing with alloy corrosion it took 10 ton to press mine out so don't expect to just lift them out unless very lucky. The new ones however will just drop in after a cleanup. If you are spinning the bearing and it's smooth it's probably not the bearing,...

ULEZ & WBAC.COM

They had to comply by law to be sold after 2015 earlier cars will be a grey area and if it doesn't state on the logbook then its not compliant. It seems some cars already made could be sold that didn't meet the specs. . Either way the value of those cars is likely to nosedive as all people are heari...

Any diesel pre 2016 is now virtually worthless in those areas im surprised they didn't even offer scrap value which is what they do if they don't want it. I feel sorry for the people who have those cars now as they are stuck with them .

wheel bearing noise from rear

Always hard to pinpoint a wheel bearing from inside the car, you need it jacked up and spin them.
The e70 rear diff failure is common now, mine went last year and I've seen a few for sale locally needing a diff.

I bought a Sealey 18v one and when I tried it wouldn't remove some of the x5 wheel bolts which was a it disappointing but has been useful for other things , I have for many years not let the tyre place I use tighten my bolts up and the one time they did I broke an extending bar socket trying to undo...
