Re: Headlight washer
I have the exact same issue. I’ve purchased the covers and new washer pumps from eBay. Just wondering if I can get away with removing the nozzles for the new units and clipping them in to the void on the existing ones to save me removing the bumper etc?
If the...

Re: BMW 7 Series nicked in under 60 seconds
Not sure if this is correct as I do not have Carly but I was reading some of the things that Carly can do and one of them was to disable the comfort access.
If this is correct it would put a lot of minds at rest.

Re: Headlight washer
Just noticed that the drivers side headlight washer is not quite right. It still works but when squirted a tube pops out and water just pours on the floor. Is this a simple diy fix? What parts do I need? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180306/dc828495c3010fed9a19726e9...

Re: Is it time to sell the petrol or diesel car and go electric
Why are they not fitting solar panels to these cars to charge the batteries?
They could make the whole roof a solar panel and it would help to charge the battery and possibly extend how far you could travel.

Re: sourcing E70 headlamp washer jets- confused!
Depending on what part you actually need I think the 2 parts are the main washer and the washer cover.
If its the main washer they are around £70 and the washers for each headlight are slightly different with the differences being the direction of the nozzles themselves.

Re: Hydraulic Floor Jack
You dont necessarily need a 2.5 ton jack as you are only lifting one corner at a time. I felt that 2 ton jacks were a bit flimsy and went for a stronger jack. The hockey pucks you mention fit into the jacking points to protect them, not really needed if you dont have one, a bit of wood would protect...

Re: Locking wheel nut keys
I am about to ditch my locking wheel bolts as one of them just sheared the top off while tightening it. I was lucky enough that the bolt was not overtightened as I managed to hammer the end back on and remove it. The bolt is a Mcgard that comes standard from BMW and is the ones with the spinning sid...

Re: Hydraulic Floor Jack
I recently bought a 2.5 ton Hawk trolley jack. Although it seems a bit overkill for changing wheels and working on brakes I had lost faith in the 2 ton jack I already had. The 2 ton jack seemed to twist while raising the car and I felt there was just too much weight on it to be reliable. I had to ge...

Re: Help needed please
Do none of you check the tyre pressures every now and again?
Although there is TPMS on the car it doesn't really recognise slight pressure drops.
I check and adjust the pressures every other week so the caps don't get a chance to seize on.

Re: Increased Battery Discharge
Last year I was getting this message in the X6. Didnt seem to matter how many long journeys I went on it would still give this message now and again. One Monday morning after the car had been sitting not moving all weekend the battery was dead. Unfortunately it was parked in front of the garage with...
