I saw that pic of the porsche with the wings chopped, 9k for a headlight is insane and those cars will be impossible to insure soon.

What do i change these tyres to
The general tyres don't look to have the super aggressive tread pattern I was expecting .More important is tread depth difference front to rear, anymore than 2mm is said to cause issues. If its jumping bad as you say there should be a code for the transfer box which is due to chain slack .Some have ...

Any church mice around?
I removed the wing to access mine when the filter was blocked , luckily I checked all 3 pumps as they were all the same on my e70 , it worked great for a good few months till I parked it up last year now every time you fill it a day later the tank is empty again  , looks like I will have to go...

Tyre pressure monitor
I'd check your tyre pressures and set them correctly as a start, on mine 2009 you reset it and it asks you if pressures are correct then it says you need to drive for it to activate monitoring.
As it uses abs if there is an active code it won't work as said.

Smoking and strong exhaust smell
I don't have or know much about carly but there may be a smooth running test on there which is what you want and would give you readings like I said above to compare the 6 injectors  maybe the underlying reason it spun the bearings originally is still there as it seems you have replaced pr...

Smoking and strong exhaust smell
They would need to be massively out to cause that problem or one is stuck open or something and it to be running like a bag of spanners and id expect black some if it was over fueling. Hoe far out does it say they are range is usually -5 to +4 with anything over +2 needs replaced . Did it run fine w...

Smoking and strong exhaust smell
Sounds like a turbo is on its last legs you usually get smoking as soon as you give it the gas, usually a grey/blue in colour , are you using a lot of oil now or is that sorted ? The dpf would have have disguised the oil smoke out the exhaust until it was drowning in the stuff but its disconnected n...

Which Oil do you guys use? and your service interval
You really need to be servicing these no later than every 10k if its out of warranty ,if its under warranty and bmw will pick up the tab then who cares .The m57 was certainly the peak of x5 reliability its went badly downhill since then it seems :headbang: maybe they were lasting too long ? :poke: I...

Which Oil do you guys use? and your service interval
Spun bearings mostly x police cars was it not, a lot were sold to the public before the issues were caught on of these cars idling for hours then flat to the mat with diluted oil and long service intervals. Any approved oil will be grand, if its going to fail it will fail regardless as the damage ha...

E83 X3 3.0d 2006 155,000mls total failure
You can just replace the bad one no worries ,6 new ones would write most cars off problem with common rail is its one out all out it won't really tolerate it as it drops pressure to the rest.
