Re: Who's wearing their winters, I am?
Do I need sensors for the 19 winters or do I just swap the sensors on my 20 inch to the 19. You will need sensors on the 19s but I’m not sure swapping from the 20s is the way to go. This will require the tyres coming off both sets of rims each time you swap them. This costs £10 per wheel at my loca...

Re: Who's wearing their winters, I am?
Sensors would be the cheaper option. I think they are between £80-£90 each. Cotswoldbnwmini might do a site special price :D I bought a set of four of eBay for £160 that are pre programmed for the car, I’ll be fitting soon so I’ll let you know if they work. Don I've seen them on eBay but didn't kno...

Re: Who's wearing their winters, I am?
I’ll be putting mine on next week. I had wanted to put 19” on but unfortunately they don’t fit so no option but to stick with 20”. I know they will be better that what comes off but would have rather had narrower wheels. Don I tried my 19" winter wheels on my 50d yesterday and they fit over th...

I’m a little late to this topic but 4.0 every time The smiles it brings more than makes up for the extra costs.

What’s your thoughts on the X7?
Yet to see one in the flesh but from the pictures I’ve seen, I’m not a fan of the huge, slabesided front grill. There seems to be a growing trend in these massive front grills such as the new Rolls Royce Cullinan.
Maybe it’ll grow on me in time. What’s your thoughts?

Re: recent posts
I have found my way to recent posts but I actually liked the old 24hr, 48hr and 72hr system. This is the only forum I had seen that on and thought it ideal.
Mods, any chance of something similar?

Re: Retro Fitting Factory Roof Rails
Yes, the rails can be retro fitted. But at a cost. £600 for the rails alone. I know BMW like to make money but come on. They’re a £300 option when specking the car, and I know it’s easier to install during main assembly, but twice the price just for the parts!! At this stage and unsurprisingly I’m g...

Hi Rob,
Welcome along and well done for putting her back on the road, it would have been a shame to see the X just fade away.

Ceramic Coating Anyone?
Ok, me again! I’ve only recently heard about Cermaic Coating and on the face of it, it looks good. I’ve been quoted £300 for a 12 month one, although the guy says 8-12 months, and £750 for a 5 year one, now even if I only got 3 years from the more expensive option, it would still be better value. Th...

Re: Do Non Run Flat Work?
BMW offer star-rated non-run flat tyres so they must be OK. You can put something like Puncturesafe in them as this can permanently seal holes up to 5mm safely. Great shout Richard, I’ve used puncturesage before but when it had a different name and hadn’t been able to find them until you posted the...

Re: Do Non Run Flat Work?
Thanks Sid,
I think I’ll go with what I can get (non run flat). I will carry a spare, although I’m not sure two are required as it’s the BMW one and they only offer 1 I believe.
