Re: do x6 wheels fit x5 e70?

I have 19" X5 winter wheels and tyres on my X6.
They are a square setup running 255/50/19 front and back.
The rears as already said need spigot rings

Re: Securing Spare Wheel Sets

Mine has self levelling suspension, is that different from air suspension at the rear?

Re: Securing Spare Wheel Sets

Snow is forecast for tomorrow so when I got home earlier I changed the 20" wheels to 19" winter wheels with Bridgestone Blizzak tyres. Total time taken to change all 4 wheels.... 25 minutes which included bringing out and putting away the wheels. To be honest the ride is not that much diff...

Re: Fuel flap lock

Thanks, will have a go at freeing it off a bit.
It sounds like it is sticking, tried locking and unlocking with the flap open and the locking pin doesnt come out smoothly, but it seems different every time.
$59 probably works out about £70 :(

Fuel flap lock

Anybody know if this can be serviced at all? The lock for the fuel flap when locking the car is quite noisy. It seems it is struggling to lock and makes quite a racket. Can this be removed and freed off before it is broken completely or is it best just to replace it? Any idea what this part is calle...

Re: Securing Spare Wheel Sets

I bought a set of winter wheels and tyres last week and although they are in my shed with my bike, they do take up a fair bit of room. I think next year I will build a bunker to store them in out of decking boards. Should be able to build it for a lot less than £160 and I will change the wheels myse...

Not sure how good these are but I found them while browsing the net. They seem to get a not bad review and are advertised as all weather tyres. £280 a set. https://www.gumtree.com/p/wheel-rims-tyres/4-x-20-bmw-x5-brand-new-accelera-4x4-suv-tyres-2-x-315-35-20-2-x-275-40-20-xl-tl-all-season-tyres/119...

Re: Newbie from Scotland

I wasnt sure what to expect but it is very handy.
I sometimes forget it is there and still look at the speedo as its not in your face.
Excellent for satnav directions and speed limit display

Re: Newbie from Scotland

Admittedly pics are not from today. Its been great so far covering 5000 miles already effortlessly. Only have one problem and thats the oil level reading too high. Its been checked over with an oil change carried out and the garage says the sensor is faulty or it needs a software update. He doesnt w...
