Just swapped my 06 e53 3.0s after a sand lorry disliked my old one when i put it in sport mode it seems very noisy, was my old one quite or is the new one noisy?

Only had diesels but never noticed any change in noise when selecting sport mode. Petrol’s might have an ‘ego booster’ flap in the exhaust perhaps?

As above no change with my diesel.
