TPMS Sensors

Hi,

Has anyone purchased after market X5 TPMS sensors from a reliable source? I really don't want to be paying £90 x 4 sensors for OEM parts, given they are for my winter wheels.

Anyone bought from an Ebay supplier and had a good outcome? Prices are definitely cheaper but is the quality decent?

Part number is: 36106881890 36106856209

Thanks,

Quick check and these come up as a possibility as it's £100 for the set of 4:

Thanks for the link.

I just checked with the Ebay supplier and they say this part won't fit my car - even though the part number matches up. Confusing!

But if the part numbers match then not sure why they'd say they aren't compatible :headbang:

Agreed :D

If the part doesn't work on my car though it's a costly exercise as I incur fitting costs from my garage and I'm no further forward :(

Did you ever find a solution to this challenge, as I am in the same situation having recently purchased a set of 20" wheels that need refurbishment, but they didn't come with the tpms sensors

You will also need a code to match the sensor to the car otherwise even if the sensor is compatible, the car won’t accept it. The code is obtained from the VIN or from the registration number. I had to have one changed on my 2 series (F46 2018) and it’s not an OEM unit. Was about £40 coded and fitted. The tyre dealer did it all and gave me the relevant code ‘just in case’. The code was programmed by his TPMS supplier. I’ll see if I can find the box.

UPDATED: The supplied device is made by Hamaton and is an EU-Pro Hybrid 3.5. HTS-A688M 433MHz programmable. Website - hamaton(-)tpms(.)com

Current BMW equivalent Part No: 36106881890. This part number is used on lots of BMW models according to RealOEM.

Worked within a few seconds of being fitted and the car driven to set the tyre pressures.
