Rear camber

Post by rhinoman » Wed Jul 02, 2014 7:29 pm

Can't get the rear camber in spec, upper arms and subframe bushes are new so on to the lower arm, anybody replaced the bushes instead of buying new arms.

Lower balljoint.

Only noticeable if you take the load off it by deflating the airbag. Can cause the camber to be out and not able to bring back in.

And if you're replacing the balljoint you'll need a special tool, you can get it on ebay there's a few people selling them, think they're around 60 quid

And if you end up having to do this you should also replace the integral links while you're in there, they're not too expensive and if my memory serves me correctly they have to come off in order to do the ball joints

That's the ones.

Test it first by deflating the rear airbag

But if you do replace them I have the genuine bmw tool for hire to use if you should so wish.
