HELP WITH INACTIVE SUSPENSION+ GEARBOX COULD BE NOTHING BUT???

Hi guys im new to the forum


Im looking at an x5 2002 on a 52 plate and its a 3l diesel

there is a light in the dash saying inactive suspension but the suspension is FINE 

what could be the cause

when setting off I out my foot flat to the floor theres nothing nothing nothing then boom all the turbo at once ..

can this be a sign of gearbox wear or anther issue??

could be nothing but could also be very expensive and ive got 3 kids would rather be sure now beforehanf pleas thanks guys

A dodgy battery can throw up all of problems mate if your worried already stay clear of it there's plenty for sale they can be a money pit bud.

A quick search on here wil answer that question thoroughly.....

When you say foot down and bang..
Do you pause slightly after putting it in D before accellerating, or just pull back and foot down??

Could be a sluggish gearbox operation or insufficient fluid pressure.
eitherway hard to remotely diagnose.
If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....

Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)
