folding door mirrors

Post by themoog » Wed Nov 25, 2015 6:07 am

Can anyone shed any light on this- I pressed the button to fold in my mirrors yesterday ( only the passenger side works at the moment for some reason), it folded in but when I locked the car it moved back out!
What's that all about then? Do they need resetting or something? I tried it a few times and it wont stay folded unless the car is unlocked.

Not heard of this before on my old z4 or current x4 - Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 5 mins? (Please note I dont know if this will disrupt any of the functions of you keys / car so please check first before continuing)

Almost sounds like it might have been incorrectly coded?

Could be the micro-switch being slightly out of place?
