Just a quick one - will the Arnott suspension bags for the p38 Range Rover fit the E53 4.8is and will I need new struts or can I just replace the bags?
Thinking of replacing both fronts together now the one bag has split.

Re: Air suspension parts query
I know some have used the Arnott bags and I did look at them many years ago. I looked to order them direct from them in the States.
You don't need to replace the struts.

Re: Air suspension parts query
Fitted Arnotts at the front last year from Netherlands - very good service, although the packing needs to be improve as they are heavy items. You do need a serious torque wrench for this job
Re: Air suspension parts query
I ordered the Arnotts locally from p38 spares, hopefully to be delivered directly to garage on Monday. Missing the X a LOT right now. Considering longer term options.......might look at a Lexus RX 400h I think, but want a bit more mileage from the beloved V8!

Re: Air suspension parts query
Before I bought my X5 I looked at the 400h, just two pence worth but although it was veeery nice inside, the hybrid drive on them are a waste of time. Only works on battery only below 20mph and not for long, seriously hampered by electrical gremlins affecting the computer batteries (suffers from various battery drain issues, cant leave the car standing for more than a few days before rendering the thing useless). It was a fairly rapid motor!
Not sure if the newer 450h is any better though?
