Looking for a little advice.... i went for 1 owner lowish mileage example - but missed out on some options that i though i'd get retro fitted. I've spoken to some guys down here surrey and this what i got quoted for an OEM setup...deep breath...

1. Enable Bluetooth audio (Music)  £650
2. Retrofit Reverse camera  £1381
3. Retrofit electric dipping folding mirrors. (I have electric memory seats)  £2384
4, Retrofit Heated Rear Seats  £2812
5. Retrofit TV module and TV\DVD on the move. TV module £2299 activate on the move (DVD and TV) £250

Has anybody undertaken these retrofits before on the forum any advice would greatly appreciated

X3's are great cars but I really hope you got it very cheap if you are prepared to spend the best part of £10k of upgrades...

hey jagr, the car was not cheap by any means :(  so 10k worth retro mods is excessive so i'm looking more cost effective options. I wanted new OEM parts, but from those prices i might try and go second hand for such folding , mirrors and non OEM for reverse camera.

£2812 for rear heated seats! You've really got to love your passengers for that!
Current: M50i arctic grey (G05)
Previous: RRS P400 HST, F15 M50d,F15 30d Msport, E70 35d Msport, 530i, Boxster, 330Ci Sport Vectra GSi, Chevrolet Lumina, Vxl Astras

It'll be allright in the end. If it isn't allright it isn't the end

Agreed you would have to love your rear passengers, especially as BMW option when you spec a new car it is just £325 for heated rears on the F15, but it's easier to add it at the build stage than retro fit it.

I would suspect the additional cost covers the hours taking it all apart and putting it back together, plus seats with the heating panels,  switches, modules, any extra loom etc, and vat.

Definitely easier and cheaper to find a car with the spec on it in this case, not sure about the rest of the options.

If you really want need all the options listed I would consider looking at an Indy or an car audio / electronics specialist for some of those bits or possibly looking for a car with that spec and doing a part ex as the cost to change would probably be less than those prices quoted.

Congratulations and welcome to the X3 family. 18 months since I bought mine and it's still the best BMW I've ever owned, previous 5 series was good, but this is better
