LED Angel Eyes Rings replacement with turn signal

My angel eyes bulbs just went out...both of them at the same time 

Then I google for replacement and came across this retrofit...

Anybody tried this installl yet? If yes... how durable is this?

You have to open your headlights to fit them.
Depending on the year you can warm thr glue or you have to cut the lenses off.

August 2002 is cut off date , any later they will not heat unglue.
Do not rely on date of vehicle, there is a date stamp on the headlight shell .
Had a look at the advert, they say 2004 to2006 that cannot be correct as I have shown cutoff date for splittable headlights is 08/2002.
If you can find a pair of pre August 2002 (I would go July to be on the safe side) then try it.
Also the 2 black boxes shown in ad look like ballasts that were supplied with ccfl rings.

I did the ccfl mod, and then later changed to led rings, much better and don't have to warm up.

Lez I'm surprised at your comments that you changed the ccfl's for LED's. I fitted the ccfl's and was very impressed. Apart from the lighting up quicker, is it a brighter/whiter light, the bottom line is when you had spent the time to do it, Did you look at it and say, yea, that was worth the effort?

I compared  the ccfl to the led AE's and found the led rings to be much brighter, it depends on how many leds are in the ring, I'll have a look and see if I can find where I got the from and the led count.

I bought these back in Feb, they are still current Ebay  Number  111982907209, they are from China, but I get most of my bits from there, 1/4 to 1/2 the price, most of the UK suppliers get there's from China, just have to wait 2/4 weeks. They are cracking AE's., better than OE.
I had 2 ballasts pack up on the ccfl's, and one of them was showing degradation and slow start up.
