Birthday treat

Post by Reedster » Sun Mar 18, 2018 4:27 pm

Well the kids bought me a track day at Dunsfold, the Top gear track. Four car package and a fast lap.
Saturday was a fantastic day weather warm, little wind sunny and apart from a quick shower, dry all day.
First off Aston Martin V12, raw power is how I would describe it.
Second was a Ferrari 430 spider, great power and ride.
Third was an Audi R8, fast but twitchy.
Rounded it off with the way forward as we are told the BMW i8, fast with plenty of torque and handled really well. Loved the simulated engine sound when the petrol engine kicked in, no sound would have killed it for me no matter how good the car. Amazing what the car would do.
The fast lap with a driver was in a VX V8 saloon, which went very well especially around the corners.
If money for servicing etc was no problem then my choice of cars would be, Ferrari, Aston, BMW, Audi.
It was well worth the drive up from Cornwall, glad it was on Friday and not the bad weather on Saturday.
