Stability control fuse

Post by X5Sport » Sat May 21, 2022 3:26 pm

Any clue on the fuse card? 15, 19, 40, 46 and 123 all seem to be related. Possibly 125 as well (it’s also related to 123). 100+ numbers are in the rear. Wiring diagram says 19, 40, 46 are key to the module supply.

This might help…https://youtu.be/aQDDCG7cVp4

I'd think it will sort itself out after a short drive assuming you put the fuse back in the right place

Fuses 5, 19, 114, 117. Power for the SOS function comes from the roof functions control module. Depends upon your car spec but there might be a gap where there shouldn’t be, or a blown fuse.

It might also just need to reconnect itself to the BMW Connected Drive servers.

Ok thanks for the info so sorted everything else but now no radio sound, lists stations but silence, its got to be something in the rear fuse box and the small fuses

Stability control fuse

You’re not having a good time are you…. :o

This might help: https://fusecheck.com/bmw/bmw-x5-e70-20 ... se-diagram

Fuse 103 would be a good start. I’ve checked a wiring diagram and the amp is on that fuse.

A lesson I learned the hard way was to take a photo of the fuse boxes before touching anything. Life was easy when cars had maybe a dozen fuses but today they’re a nightmare. Modern cars are a computer on wheels!

Think it's time to get your wallet raped. Stealer or indy who can read the fault codes.

Stability control fuse

I think the amp should be in the same place as mine - behind the left cubby removable cover in the boot. It might have it’s own fuse (some versions did) on the amp itself, and that might be blown.

Be careful with the cables as some of them are fibre-optic feeds to the main iDrive computer (typical BMW OTT but … )

If there isn’t one then sadly it’s letting an expert with tools have a look after a code readout as above.
