Just bought myself this lovely machine - 2010 18d xdrive. New engine fitted by BMW 20k miles ago after timing chain failure.

I've fitted an Android head unit and installed Torque Pro, but it doesn't recognise my OBD2 to USB cable, nor does my phone. Anyone able to recommend an OBD2 cable to USB that does work with the e84 (and preferably also with my e85 3.0i Z4)?

Cheers folks,

Gary

Can’t answer your OBD2 to USB question but hello and :hi: to the Forum. :D

Your X1 looks like a very tidy example, and at least you won’t have to worry about the N47 timing chain problem!

:hi:

I'm unable to help with the OBD/USB query either.

Your car looks good. The Style 317 is my kind of wheel, so-much-so that I've been toying with the idea of buying a set for my F25. :o

Thank you! I quite like the wheels too - I now have to worry much less about kerbing than I did with the extreme low profile AVAs I had on my last car :D
