All my images are gone. That's the third time an online host has pulled the plug on me. I won't be posting any more images online.

Note to Admin/Mods:- You might as well delete this thread, it makes no sense without the images.

You know you can upload images direct to your post without using a host site.
Just click on the attachments button under the box you type your message in.

Thanks, Nictrix. I'll bear that in mind for the future, but I can't replace the images that are now lost in the ether.

As per Nictrix's post ^^^ above, I've now attached new images for continuity. They may or not be the ones I posted originally, but they are some I had forgotten about that are relevant.

The autumn/winter 2020 look. Original-fit Style 305 wheels refurbed in Gunmetal (allegedly....) powdercoat.......

As detailed in another of my threads, I'm not 100% happy with them, but they have grown on me slightly - especially in dull light.

Tuesday June 15th marked a milestone. 100000k miles.

High mileage for a <9 year-old, but not as high as when I bought it.

It’s not overly high though. I thought (until COVID!) that had gone to around 12k/yr for many as people stopped using very expensive public transport. In a normal year I do 15k, mainly commuting.

I read somewhere, recently, that current average mileage for a family-run diesel is 9.2k/year. Something to do with the proliferation of multi-car families. I always considered it to be 10-12k, but that was based on what was "the norm" back in the late '70s/early'80s when I started buying cars. The last 2 years I've only been doing c.8k - even before COVID.

...........And it's 3 years today, since I collected it.

The left-hand rear wheel speed sensor ran-up the white flag last week. Its replacement arrived today, so if I find the time I'll change it tomorrow. I also fitted a new battery last week. Electrics were still fine, but when I did the scan for the sensor, I noticed that the battery voltage was down to 11.7, even after a long run. Rather than risk it letting me down, I bought a new Bosch one.

It's gone from the sublime to the ridiculous! The whole of last year I did 8k. Since I made that ^^^ post I've done 4.2k - most of that going from home to Hampshire and back on average every 10 days, but weekly for the last 3 weeks.

Wheels have been off, calipers cleaned, and arches hosed out. Bodywork has been washed, dried, and detailed. Interior was done last week.

As posted elsewhere on the forum, I bought a set of Borbet 5-spokes (style CC) earlier in the year. I was going to wait until my usual mid-November change-over point to fit them, but as they have all-season tyres fitted I succumbed to impatience and fitted them a couple of days ago. The Style 304s in the previous picture will be going on eBay, and the 305s (which are now silver again) will become my spare set.

Other than family circumstances leading me to cover 13k+ miles in the last year (up from 8k in each of the previous two years), not much else has changed.

They went on Gumtree, actually - sans tyres - and sold within 8hrs. They will be going on an F30 that lives about 25 miles form me.
