Everyone's favourite auction website???

Post by StuBeeDoo » Tue Aug 23, 2022 3:07 pm

I had the tyres removed from my Style 304 wheels this morning. :)

I took photos of said wheels. :)

I went on the aforementioned website, typed-out a detailed description and uploaded the photos. :ebay:

When I hit the button to start the auction, the site decided it wants direct access to my bank account. :o

There is no :censored: way I'm giving access to my account(s) to anyone. :x Not even Wor Lass has ever asked for access to my hard-earned.

TBF I had been warned about this, but as I had sold there in the dim-and-distant-past I thought I might have got away with it.

Anyone got any bright ideas what other websites I might have a remote chance of selling the wheels, please? I did think about Freecycle, and it might yet come to that, but a few quid to recoup some of my out-lay on the Borbets would be a bonus.

I'll post them on the forum, but I don't hold much hope. At least it won't cost me anything.......

I'm not on Facebook, but I think step-d sells stuff there. I'll have a word.

Gumtree is a possibility, as is Pistonheads.

....... 'Spesh'ly as I'm getting enough for them to cover my initial outlay on the Borbets, plus a bit towards the refurb. Kerching!

I've just had an SMS from the lad and he's going to be here around midday tomorrow.

Everyone's favourite auction website???

I use the auction site and they changed it last year i think it was (i think they sold off paypal).
I have sold a lot of my Ham radio gear and not had any problems.
In fact the money minus there fees is in my bank the next day even before i have posted the item out.
