Hope this got around Spamhaus

Post by Rick G » Mon Sep 12, 2022 3:32 am

I was blacklisted by Spamhaus for a reason they would not discuss so I ended up getting my ISP to change my IP address.
Be wary folk if you cop it the best thing is to change IP and get going from there.
If I was sending spam then my ISP would have known (it is compulsory in Oz for them to monitor for it)
Apparently Spamhaus is a self appointed custodian of the internet and from the reading I did over the past few days gets it wrong as much as they get it right.

You’re fine on here

Happened to a few on here - self included a decade or so back - and usually needs a stern note to the black lister to get it cleared up but takes weeks in my experience.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

When I initially talked to my ISP they said that it can sometimes never get fixed and that they have found the easy way is to just hand out a new IP address. One of the comments was "Oh them they're not still at it are they".
