Auto Wipers are too fast

Post by H4MP » Fri Oct 28, 2022 1:03 am

Im having an issue where, soon as it starts to rain, even if its light rain, the wipers go off and
are too fast. This was never an issue in the past. What would be the reason for this ?

Is the thumb wheel on the right side stalk in the ‘most sensitive’ position (up on mine)?

If not then I’m not sure as sensor on the windscreen uses light reflection to set the speed so could be that or the wiper module itself.

The thumb wheel is at its lowest position. The auto wiper is far too sensitive slightest rain and it goes too fast. Wondering what it could be

Not been changed, used to work fine. Now I'm. Constantly turning them on and off myself manually when they are going way faster and wiping a dry screen

Is the sensor (or it’s window at least) getting fogged at all? That might cause it to misread the actual rainfall.
