Swapping panoramic roofs 08 to 06

Have a look at RealOEM and see if that helps for parts to see if anything changed. A lot of them look to be the same from 2003 to 2010 however there are three different frames over that time. The glass looks the same.

BMW do a special grease for the sliding mechanism. You could try Isopropyl Alcohol as a cleaning agent. Less likely to attack the plastics.

Wiring may well depend upon what options the donor and receiver car had, as well as build date.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

All very true and accurate 👌
I'm in the 1st stages of replacement. Haven't sorted it all out yet. I've got to take a look a Newtis yet too. Thanks for your reply insight.

Not happy with my progress or results .
Kicking myself! Think I'm going to have to go back to square 1 again...my original frame but use the donor motor.
Bulb was blown on the overhead light bracket.... Now there is leakage from the rear drain lines....never had leakages with the original frame.....Damn!
