Curious if anyone has fitted any aftermarket LED drl's to an E71 or E70? I'm thinking the slim rectangular type, probably fitted in/on the foglight panel. I'd be open to other possibilities though.

Wiring may need professional help, given the complexity involved?

BMW did at one point offer a kit for non-DRL equipped cars. There wasn’t one for the E70/71 as those came with DRLs from the factory, albeit not LED. The slim, horizontal lamps went into the plastic trim close to the front fogs.

I can’t find them listed on REALOEM meaning they were withdrawn before 12/2019.

Bugger!
I've become increasingly frustrated at the yellowish tones the general lighting offers outside of the xenons. Having replaced all of the front lighting on my 2005 Touareg with Philips Ultinon LEDs, that car looks fresher, almost younger than the X6 :?

There are kits available - I’m pretty sure this Osram kit is very likely what BMW rebadged.

I wonder if these are worth a punt?

Maybe also swap the fog/cornering lights to LED bulbs for a cleaner white look?

Those do look nice. I wonder how they'd look on the front of a pre facelift car? And how to integrate them into the loom ???

They'd look rather good on the facelifted model, underneath the foglight trim

Fitting sheet is here: https://www.osram.com/ecat/LEDriving%20 ... #downloads

Doesn’t look too tricky. 4 wires only if I’m reading it right.

These might have been good, but for the price and p&p. The chrome section wasn't ideal either

Wiring might be straightforward, i think they'd look good on facelift models but not earlier models.
