Sorry UF, I have removed the link as it is a link to copied software, i.e. not legally sourced one.

We, as admins can not expose ourselves to the discussion of illegal software as BMW can and will take legal action.

Sat nav upgrade is an easy DIY if we are talking e53. Dont pay for it.

Ah, sorry to open a can of worms - but that answers my question!

Thanks,

Matt

There used to be a place 'eurosatnav' that sold the latest maps discs for a fraction of the dealer costs, but last I heard it dissapeared, possibly thanks to a court order from BMW!

I bought 2011 maps for my E53 for £40 all in and they work fine, albeit if you turn the speed camera warnings off, it turns everything on the computer French for some reason!

Which is exactly the reason why we can't discuss it here ...

Are we allowed to talk about 'tinkering' with the nav disk?! :P

I've got the 2011 disk but it doesn't have 7 digit post-codes in (I know how to find them if they were there) - does anyone know how to add them (I'm perfectly adept with magic iso etc).

TIA

Yes, there is a whole article on Xoutpost on how to do that. You can add all the stuff to (a copy) of your disk for your own use.
