BMW invoice question

Post by 4687ah » Thu Aug 09, 2012 6:32 pm

Hi, I have a feeling this is going to be a stupid question, but here we go! I have just posted about one and that has got me wondering.
On a BMW warranty invoice it lists jobs done with a column which is headed AW and then a figure under this which if 1 is £6.28, if 2 is £12.56. I am guessing this is some sort of labour rate, maybe discounted to BMW as its a warranty, but what does 1 AW actually stand for? Answers on a postcard please to..........

Hi There

1AW = 5 minutes

This is the wat BMW allocate time to a job and charge it out.

Warranty labour rate is normally lower than standard retail labour rate this is part of the dealer agreement when taking on the franchise.

Hope this clears it up  ;)

BMW invoice question

Post by 4687ah » Thu Aug 09, 2012 7:12 pm

Thanks for the swift answer. I am surprised they book it by the 5min, I would have thought they would have gone for every quarter, but I suppose everything is screwed down tight nowadays.
For a bonus point, anyone know what AW actually stands for?
