wheel refurb

normal refurb from pristine £90 per corner or powder coated £50 per corner, any for's and agains'ts

oh and anybody want to lend me a set of E53  wheels and tyres for a week so i don't have lose the car while there being done :o

Powder coat for me £50 a corner, drop off in the morning , pick up sameday, stands up better against salt and wheel cleaner chemicals used at the hand car wash places

Really...in a day...where pray tell? What do powder coats look like in the flesh or is it a case of not being over eager with the amount of powder?

Do they blast them virgin for that price too so the backs are nice as well?

The place that I'm thinking of wants them from Monday to Friday and does whole wheel in and out, finished in brilliant silver

I had them do my 8 series, and my 5 series, the lacquer on the 5 series was lifting, so I had them refurbed and powder coated.  They have a website, and you are in the Manchester area

The powdercoating process can easily be done in a day although you will probably be expected to pay a premium for a quick turnaround.

Isn't there a usual precaution about wheel nut tightness checking soon after painting?

Powdercoated is the best option as already stated above. A lot of places turn them round in a week these days but usually at a cheaper rate.
