New SE London owner of an X5 3.0SD

Just bought this on the phone yesterday
I will be getting her delivered at some point next week. Really looking forwards to trying to keep it looking like this - lol.

Here is the options list :

Newbie question, but...

I see there is a button lower dash that looks like it opens the boot. Does that button just unlock the boot or does it power open the boot?

I didn't see power boot open as one of the options, so was wondering if it was just standard, or the button is just an unlock button..

Either but when I had mine early 2008 the electic boot wasn't an option so chances are it just unlocks for you to lift up.

Yes those tyres will be mega expensive.

How did yours drive with that size Wheel/ Tyre combo? I think these are on Dunlop rubber.

So it's a BMW Approved Used, and you bought it over the phone with the help of one of their videos? Good luck, I viewed many in person before finally getting mine and I wouldn't have had the guts to do what you've just done  :blink:

It is a 1 owner car and all work inc services/ tyres  etc has been done at this dealership since new

I eventually found my perfect 40d at a BMW dealer 160 miles away, the sales guy was 100% honest about it's condition, unfortunately he was the only honest BMW sales guy I met in over four months of searching.

I hope it's the right one anyway

Welcome aboard.  A full set of 21" rubber from a Dealer will cost around £1,400 which is why we avoid them.  Plenty of other good supplier without the silly markup BMW insist on.

A recent quote for my X6 was £411 per rear on 20".  Camskills beat that by over £100, but they're still not gonna be cheap and are RFT which adds a bit on too.

I think these wheels much be an add on as they don't even appear on the spec list for the car at all.

Another question...Can someone tell me where I can get some rectangular looking Exhaust tips to match & fill out those cutouts in the rear bumpers please? and what is the cost?

Yeah, the better M style exhaust tips can be fitted, I asked the question too and I think you're looking at £450 ish to buy all the bits required.

Wheels might be genuine, or copies of, BMW style 128 21" alloys.

This kit might be the right one, and £450 is a good guide price.
