Depo UHP LED Headlights + LED Rear Lights
Edited:
Hey Guys,
So I'm in Chicago at the moment for work and I thought it would be rude not to treat myself as I'm over here to some cheap goodies for the X
I treated myself to a set of these Depo UHP LED headlights
- http://www.ebay.com/itm/151080720748?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 - Did a deal with the seller and got them for $570 + $60 shipping from Cali to Chicago so worked out about £430 all in which I think isn't too bad.
I plan on buying a 55w Slim Hid kit when I'm back for the main beam as I will leave my standard OEM xenons in the headlights and sell them as a whole (message me if you're interested). I was thinking about 100w or 75w HID kit for the High beams.... not sure if they would melt the light fitting though?? Anyone had any experience with those kits?
I also bought some new Philips Lumileds LED rear lights -
http://www.ebay.com/itm/00-06-BMW-X5-E53-PHILIPS-LED-PERFORM-RED-CLEAR-TAIL-LIGHTS-LAMPS-LEFT-RIGHT-/130944955635?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e7ced74f3&vxp=mtr
Worked out $198 inc free shipping so around £130 all in. I plan on replacing the Indicator bulbs with LED ones as well as the reverse lights and maybe the fogs if I can find bright enough ones. Oh and not forgetting the side repeaters on the wing too... I'm going LED mad
I will upload some pictures of the car once I'm back and they are fitted )
Thanks!
James

Oh really! Had em on mine for 2 years (ish) now and still going strong. Love the slight different look.

Am I right in thinking they would be a simple plug and play in my 2003 facelift?

I know but I'm only now running out of things left to do to the X.

Re: Depo UHP LED Headlights + LED Rear Lights
Well ive bitten the bullet and ordered the rear lights.
£170 inc postage from the US. Probably another £30 in import tax when it gets here so £200 all in seems pretty good to me.
