How to check original spec

Post by sonny007 » Thu Nov 14, 2013 1:19 pm

Hi,

I am looking at an E53 I saw online and wanted to be sure it has all the right specs.

Heres the car-

55 Plate Grey 3.0d Auto Sports.
65k Miles with full service
Heated front and rear seats
Front two seats comfort/lumbar seats
Heated Steering wheel
Power folding side mirrors
SATNAV/TV/Bluetooth
with 1 previous owner

All for 10k. I'm trying to get it for 9! :)) just waiting for the email response

Issue is the cars 200 miles away from where i live and want to make sure it has stuff like, DSP, Aux heater, cd/tape version nav. Customer has no idea what they are...
I remember reading somewhere online a few weeks back, users can login to a special BMW site and check what came with the car when it was made.

Can anyone help?

Many Thanks,
Sonny  :D

Read down from post #4 in this thread.

You will need the last 7 characters of the VIN.

If you haven't got the chassis number PM me the registration off one of the pics in the ad and I'll get you the chassis number so you can check

Hi. I could really use this info too.

I know my vin and have gone to the link but it doesn't appear to work any longer. I've also tried to link on page 2 but still no joy.

Any other links, or log on details I can use.

Thank.

Try this link instead - but not from a Tablet as it doesn't support all of them

https://www.parts.bmwgroup.com/tetis/in ... N=Internet

Username: eu111111

Password: bmwetk1

It can be got to from the BMW UK website by following:

Owners > Service & Maintenance > Maintaining your BMW > the genuine BMW Parts Catalogue.

You need to have pop up blocking turned off as it opens another window.  From memory, I think it's under 'options' once you have logged in and put your VIN in (I'm on an ipad which isn't supported so can't check).
