Anyone use http://www.witter-towbars.co.uk/ for aftermarket towbar?

Post by stlum9495 » Fri Nov 22, 2013 3:40 pm

Hi,

I've been reading through all the forum posts etc -- this website has been very helpful!

I have a E53 BMW X5 and I want to get an aftermarket towbar fitted because the dealer's rough quote was £2k!

I was wondering if anyone has used this company to buy their towbar + have it fitted?

Apparently they also offer a warranty

Would appreciate if anyone can share their experiences with them?  Or recommend a competent fitter who also stands by their work in the form of a warranty etc

Many thanks

Hi there

I had a witter fitted to my previous e class merc, this was a fixed one and had no problems..

Just had a detachable tow trust towbar fitted to the X again no problems, didn't get a witter this time only due to it being more expensive..

Both came with a years warranty..

Both were fitted by FS trailers in Huntingdon Cambridgeshire.

Hope this helps

Used them many years ago as they were OEM for Vauxhall, good product at a good price and fitted all the correct Hardpoints.  For BMW I use the Westphalia units as they are the OEM.

Used to fit tow bars when I was younger. Wittier were always the premium brand and always way more expensive than the normal brand we used.
