Locked In!

Post by Don Coffey » Thu Feb 20, 2014 1:37 pm

Got in the car a couple of days ago, pulled the door shut to a god Almighty bang.  First thoughts was the seat belt was caught in the door, but no, it was clear.  So I tried to open the door and nothing.  Locked and unlocked the car a few times but still no joy.  Put the window down and tried the outside door handle with still no joy.

As luck would have it, I was just around the corner from the local dealer so drove round and sent the daughter in to see if I could be released from the beast.

Well, no joy, I ended up having to climb over the passenger seat to get out, no small achievement given my fuller framed figure..... ::)  Well the dealer was spot on, and although couldn't get the door open while I was there, sorted a car and got me on my way.  Car was fixed the next day with a replacement locking mechanism, I think it was the dead lock that had failed.  With 10 days to go until the warranty runs out it was good timing.
