Bonnet cable snapped ! Help !

All done ! Got the cable through the bulkhead, connected it to the junction box and replaced the lever in the foot well.
Heart in mouth closing the bonnet - wondering if I would ever get it open again if I had missed something - bingo ! All works fine

Total cost to fix was £21 for the cable......and that satisfaction of doing it yourself and not handing over a couple hundred quid for a garage to do the same job !
