Just done a 259 mile trip with a fully loaded car and she’s averaged a true 44.2mpg. Running around at home I’ve never seen less than 36mpg. I’m sensible with it though and it does two 20 mile trips most days, very few short runs.

Trip from London to mid-Wales, a mix of motorway, A-roads and very little town driving. I had cruise control on the whole time (except towns obviously) and the eco setting enabled and I averaged 36.4mpg for the whole trip. I reset the gauge before I left. Cruise control was about 69-75mph depending on the amount of traffic. Had 2 adults, 1 child on the way there and 3 adults and 1 child on the way back.

Not sure how I could have squeezed any more out of it other than a lower mph on cruise control. I don't know how anyone gets 40mpg!

On normal runs (work, short trips etc) I'm now averaging 32 mpg. A 5 hour trip to Applecross recenty I got 38 mpg and that was with a hefty roofbox.
Safe to say this beast is heavy but a small (ish) price to pay for one helluva machine  8)
