Interestingly the Alpina is still siting on my driveway. It’s now over a month since the accident so I called yesterday to check what the hold up is and they informed me that they were still waiting for BMW to supply the bits. Assured me that they hadn’t forgot about me.

I’ve read on other BMW forums (have to keep an eye on the competition ) that there are spares ‘challenges’ at present. Someone in the US has been waiting 3 months for a warranty replacement steering rack on an i4! They’ve been loaned a 5-series and BMW are covering payments on the busted car. Nice if you can get it, but I don’t understand the hold up. Parts for something like yours should be easy - just go to relevant bin and collect, surely?

You’d think with all the e46’s in Europe that a wing, bonnet and headlight would be easily available.
