Found the same issue with s/h, the premium for new was small. I didn't go with the 7 seats as we have 2 and are stopping there!

Interestingly I ordered 3rd week of Sept and was given a delivery of mid Dec. Mine is now in transit ( has been for a week) and the dealer is still talking first week of december.

Depending on how long your car has been in transit, I would think you should be mid - late Nov. Perhaps dealer saying early Dec to be on safe side & if its earlier they then look good ;)

The dealer I ordered from already had 2 or 3 cars on order (for demo / showroom) that spec could still be changed on and I piggy backed onto one of them, they have given date of 16/12/11 for delivery to me. Car should now be in production as been given VIN No on Thursday, & I would assume, the chassis is now stamped up. :)

Down at dealers this afternoon, got update car in now in painting process :) With week 50 estimate for UK landing. Cant wait, saleman sat me in X5 with front side cameras and gave me demo & rev camera with top view, first time I had seen it in operation, well impressed.

Just wanted to sit in X all afternoon

Build next, then down to the docks. Two weeks approx on a boat, a few days sat at Bremerhaven to clear European Customs (incl the UK bit), short cruise to Southampton, truck to Thorne in Yorkshire, final bits added at the VPC, sent to dealer and then.............it's all yours :D :driving:

Our new Mini Countryman is supposed to be built next week (w/c31st Oct) (weather & backlog permitting) and should be here 3 weeks after build. Seems a very long time to get it here from Autria, but there is so much demand, BMW have had to increase from one boat to two per week.

Dealer updates this afternoon, production now complete & car released to distribution :)

Next step is either Export or workshop. Unsure if going to workshop, would think only cars that need superficial fixing / additional works require this step :?

Two boats are leaving Charleston port tomorrow 2/11/11 (MIGNON &INTEGRITY), I doubt it will make these departure dates. Next ship leaves 8/11/11 (Week today - TOPEKA), most likley ship, but will keep checking.

Link been use on other topics, but here it is again;

http://www.bmwblog.com/2009/07/14/how-t ... -delivery/

So X should be in UK by end Nov :driving:

Email from dealer today "....car has now left the factory and is on it's way to the US Port, I now get no updates until it lands in Germany so it's over to your shipping website for updates from here...." Woupeee, hard to believe car built & shipped within 8days from order. :D

Been told mine is due at dealers 24/11. Not sure how long it stays at Soton as there are several ships that dock between now and the 22nd. Could be on any of them.

My sales guy is away that week so I'm not going to get it till the following week which is a shame.

That's like the good news bad news joke. we've got ur car but ur not getting it :headbang: tell that salesman to come in for a day :whip:

At least you will be in it for start of dec.

Have not heard anything more from my dealer since car left factory 2 weeks ago, think it might be on Topeka, but that just an estimated guess. I'm just glad I will be in it for the holidays :)

Nice :D

I just had a quick look on the AUC website, and there is no way I would pay new value - £10k for an almost 3 year old car !!!

Bet if you trade in you get nothing like that though...
