Really shocking to hear. Some peeps just don't think when driving and that's so worrying.
Hopefully will all be resolved without too much hassle.
The recovery bloke was banging on about cars should have cameras...I totally agree...I think America are streets ahead of us in this respect.
My X is being picked up no Monday and I'm getting a Polo!
or maybe drivers that concentrate, its one of my pet hates that people who come out of a slip road (usualy behaind another car or a truck) then cut straight to the outside lane often only going 50, i personally think the police should be doing more people for things like middle lane hogging, driving to slow, tailgating, pulling straight in front of peiple at slip roads despite the mway having priority etc you can be going 90 safely and 50 dangerously but instead they are helbent on spped checks!! also rear view mirrors should be banned people look in this and miss whats along side them you can see everything thats going on in the side mirrors!!! just my opinion!
Oh no!

Glad you're OK, but.......what a real shame. Hope it all gets sorted and the other party gets clobbered.
I have to admit to thinking more and more about having some kind of 'black box camera' installed for these circumstances, but they're not easy to choose the right type. There's a few out there, but the dedicated ones could be better, and the others designed for track days aren't quite right and all seem very expensive for what they are. Might just as well plug a camcorder in with a GPS feed.
Anyone got any experience of these systems?
The only one I have any knowledge of is the Roadhawk, but they seem to of changed since I played with one.

If all driving was subject to continual recoding there could also be negative consequences for some drivers of cars so equipped.

Gutted for you! Can you believe it - unreal. Hope it gets fixed up to good as before, and you have no problems getting the idiot to take the blame.

Feel gutted for you, agree about the cameras, should also be a black box like aircrafts that would record speed and direction of travel etc, but enjoy the polo!

That is so unfortunate,
one week of fun in a fantastic car and then it's taken away from you
Watch out with those insurance companies, they're normally very keen to write things off
If you have any photographs of the accident damage can you post them please ?
